Who I am
Photography has always been my passion. I was a news photographer for newspapers, magazines and press agencies during college and after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Bowling Green State University. I worked as Still Photographer/Videographer at WBGU-TV, a public television station in Bowling Green, Ohio for eleven and a half years. I still loved photography, but having several bosses assigning shoots was like tying a starving man to a chair and forcing hamburgers down his throat. Needless to say, I needed to be my own boss, so I embarked on a 30-year career as a Realtor with pretty decent success, at least until the industry changed for the worst locally and I took the chance to retire. I left photography in the analog days, processing film and prints with chemistry, not computers. I’m catching up. I had such great success with my Samsung Galaxy phones, I upgraded to a Sony mirrorless camera. On one of my trips, I sprung for a newer body and a very long telephoto lens. The experiences since have re-ignited that long-sleeping passion for photography and now, here I am, back in business. I hope you like what you see.
